Targeted
Meeting Amman, Jordan 11-14 March 2004 Introduction The scope of Targeted Meetings is to bring together a group of countries facing a similar situation and try to find common solutions. The first one aimed at bringing together young people from Mediterranean countries least represented in the Euro-Med Youth Programme with their European counterparts in an effort to increase their participation. The Meeting took place in Amman, Jordan between the 11th and 14th of March 2004 and was open to young people from Algeria, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Syria, and the United Kingdom. During this Meeting the situation of young people and youth work in the different countries was analysed, participants learnt about each other and about relevant skills, and concrete steps forward have been proposed. Other such meetings with different groups of countries are being planned. |
